“The Great Unveiling"

The original painting is created upon a piece of an old, reclaimed door. I used oil, cold wax, embroidery, and solvents to intuitively build up the painting layer by layer.

There is so much we don't know or remember. "The Great Unveiling", from my Stories on Wood collection, symbolizes our brain. It shows new brain cells while the old dead ones are being carted away. With this new information she embraces this process with her arms wide open, while onlookers look on.

Printed with a professional grade printer, I use archival pigment inks on fine art paper. Therefore, do not place in direct sunlight unless framed with UV protective glass. 8” x 10” prints will fit nicely into a standard 8” x 10” frame. And 11" x 14” prints will fit nicely into a standard 11" x 14” frame.

My images are reproduced according to the scale/proportions of the original painting. Therefore, each print will have around a 1/2" white border (maybe more depending on the original proportions of the painting) on the top, sides, and bottom. The title of the painting and my studio name are printed underneath the image. Your order will arrive packaged in a protective stiff mailer.
